The NEET UG 2025 result is expected to be out on June 14, 2025.  After the results, the next step is NEET counseling. Here's how it works:

<li>AIQ Counseling: This is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for 15% of seats in government colleges and seats in deemed universities and private colleges all over India. </li>
<li>State Medical Counseling: The state medical counselling is managed by the individual state authority for their 85% quota seats. Like DTE Maharashtra for the state of Maharashtra. The state counsellings will begin in the month of August, once the NEET result is announced and challenging the answer key is over.</li>

NEET qualified candidates will need to register online, fill in their preferences for medical colleges, and then wait for the seat allotment rounds. There can be multiple rounds of counseling (usually up to 4), including a mop-up round if seats are still available.
