A standard or basic car insurance policy does not cover tyre damages. Whether you have third-party car insurance or comprehensive car insurance, both does not cover the normal wear & tear of car tyres. However, with a comprehensive car insurance policy, you can have a provision to opt for an additional add-on cover called Tyre Protection Cover. This add-on includes the cost of removing, refitting and rebalancing of the tyres. Hence, protects your car against tyre damages. This cover can be availed at an additional cost along with your basic car insurance premium cost.
