Normal wheat flour rotis or tortillas are made in everyone’s kitchen, but missi roti is quite unusual. Here’s a way of preparing it.
Ingredients:
• Gram flour: 1 cup
• Wheat flour: 1 cup
• Kasoori Methi (fenugreek): I tablespoon
• Ajwain (Carrom seeds): ¼ teaspoon
• Asafetida: 1 pinch
• Oil: 2 teaspoons
• Turmeric: 1 spoon
• Salt: according to taste
Method:
• Filter gram flour and wheat flour, and mix in a bowl.
• Add Kasoori Methi, Ajwain, Asafetida, Turmeric, and Salt in the mixed flour and mix thoroughly.
• Pour water in it and make a soft dough.
• Keep the dough covered for 15 minutes.
• Apply oil on the dough after 15 minutes.
• Now make small balls of the dough and make circular shape of them with the help of rolling plate and rolling pin.
• Roast on hot tawa, as we do normal tortillas.
Enjoy Missi Roti with butter, curd, or any vegetable.
