That’s the big question everyone is asking after Episode 6! Honestly, it feels like the line between 'hero' and 'villain' has completely vanished for Butcher. In this episode, we see his decisions becoming much more deliberate and extreme. While his goal is still to kill Homelander, his methods-especially with the supe-killing virus-are terrifying.
The 'Kessler' side of his personality is clearly pushing him toward a total genocide of anyone with Compound V in their blood. If he’s willing to wipe out everyone (including some of 'The Boys') just to get to Homelander, then yes, he is definitely stepping into villain territory. He isn't just a wrecking ball with a grudge anymore; he’s becoming the very thing he swore to destroy. It’s heartbreaking to see, but Episode 6 makes it clear: Butcher has accepted that there’s no happy ending for him.
