Is nepotism the reason for Arjun Tendulkar's selection?Answer
Trending and Trolling is the way social media is behaving these days. There is no in-between way in social media. Either it support you or drench you with mud. Same happened when Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar was selected for under 19 Indian cricket team, which will be touring in Sri Lanka next month. He was selected for test team and not for ODI team. He will lead from the front as a medium pace bowler.
If you remember, in 2016 also there was a controversy due to his selection. It was about Arjun Tendulkar's selection in the Under - 16 west zone squad in place of 1000 run hero Pranav Dhandawade. People questioned why Sachin's son was selected instead of an autorickshaw wala's son, who evidently deserved it.
18 year old Arjun Tendulkar is a left arm medium pace bowler and helpful middle order batsman. He had also represented Mumbai's under-14, under-16 and under-19 teams. During 2017-18 cooch -Behar trophy Arjun took 17 wickets in 5 matches including 2 five wickets hauls.
According to his coach Atul Gaikwad, Arjun can bowl at the speed of 135 kmph His coach also stated that, it was not easy for Arjun as he had so many fractures and injuries and he bravely fought back in those times. And he worked very hard to where he is today.
Saurav Ganguli also extended his wishes Arjun Tendulkar.
So nepotism in not the reason for Arjun's selection. Let us wish him all the best for his first series and the series to come.
