With how things are going right now, PewDiePie would cross the 100 million subscribers first on YouTube.

It's like watching a ping pong match. Although irrelevant for virtually all but the two channels involved, the ongoing PewDiePie v/s T-series is sure as hell quite entertaining.

For months now, T-series was closely trailing PewDiePie, a Swedish YouTuber who held the title for the most subscribed channel for the past 5 years. A few days back, Indian music label finally made its imminent takeover, crossing Pewds' subscribers' count.

And it looked like the race was done and over with T-series flagging 'most subscribed channel' on its YouTube cover.

However, soon after, a day later PewDiePie dropped his "Congratulations" video which, trending in India and in many other countries, has now 21+ million views after nearly 48 hours. The video gained him more subscribers.

At the time of writing this, in the battle of PewDiePie v/s t-series, Pewds is leading with 1.44 lakh subscribers. (And yes, T-series had to take down its 'most subscribed channel' cover!)

Apparently, per reports, T-series is going all in this battle. Its chairman Bhushan Kumar has reportedly asked for support from biggies like Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Varun Dhawan.

It's funny how a 29-old YouTuber who makes videos from his home with nearly no production cost is going head-to-head with virtually all of Bollywood, from the Billion-rupee valued company to the biggest superstars in the game.

This is one of the finest examples of the power the Internet provides each of us.

Talking about who will reach the 100 million subscribers first, again, it'd be very likely PewDiePie.

Even though Bhusan Kumar and other Indian "influencers" have tried to toss in the narrative of nationalism and 'India vs. all' in this ongoing battle, the majority of the Indians do not really care about T-series having the most number of subscribers.

On the other hands, "Subscribe to PewDiePie" campaign is on rife across the world. So many people are really conscious of saving a platform like YouTube from corporate takeover. So, PewDiePie continues to enjoy massive support. Even with his diss to India in his latest track 'Congratulations', except for Twitter users, many Indians continue to support Pewds.

There would be times when T-series would take over PewDiePie in the coming weeks. However, in the end, PewDiePie is more likely to become the first YouTube channel to reach the unparalleled milestone of 100,000,000 subscribers.

This is like a tug of war with it's dynamics changing one minute at a time.People have given out arguments for both the youtube channels and all the arguments were equally convincing.

T series is a Youtube channel controlled by numerous professionals with all the technical know-how and the amount of experience the controllers have is probably commnedable. It serves to a large number of audience which justifies it's subscriber count.

Pewdiepie is a Swedish youtuber, one man army who made his name in this sector through this videos only and rose up from the bottom. He is religiously followed by only but a number of section of the society.

The target audiences of both the youtube channel are extremely different.I feel that maybe Pewdiepie is in the lead right now due to all the buzz created by his recent videos, but ultimately T series will persist due to the set of benefits it enjoys and considering all the factors which ensure the perpertual existence of the channel as it is not dependent on just one single person.
