It is quite hard and challenging to score a 90 in PTE Speaking. Many native speakers, who are very fluent and good orators, even scoreless in their PTE Tests and questions for reason behind it. However, the central cause leading to a poor grade is our society and accent. It is quite hard to adapt the language of any other region and to learn all the rules and regimes of it. Conversely, the speaking accents of a person are also affected a lot because of diverse, active languages causing variations in our speeches. Moreover, PTE is a formal test, but our society and workplaces have added a slang language (informal style) in our conversations. Also, some general and oblivious mistakes made during the test adversely hinder the speaking of a person. As a result, pronunciation & oral fluency get negatively impacted, and the aspirants might be scoring low. On the other hand, PTE is a computer-delivered and machine-evaluated test, that assess mainly three skills of a person: Content, Fluency, and Pronunciation. Thus, one should practice and improve these skills to lift their scores up.

Firstly, to enhance these abilities, it is very important to understand and gather knowledge about these sections in detail. Oral fluency is the flow, eloquence, and grammatical usage that a person uses verbally while communicating with anyone. On a general note, it reflects the speed with which you speak, without making any grammatical, structural, or tenses errors. On the opposite platform, Pronunciation is the articulation, union, and vocalization of the words that we speak. In simple words, it is sound and formation of the alphabets combined together to utter a word. Reflectively, two-thirds of the applicants find designing the content easy and simple but lack these two skills, as they need more perfection. However, being the roots of the English language, it is very crucial to smoothen out Oral Fluency and Pronunciation while interacting. As stated, that PTE is a formal language, one should primarily break up and crumble apart from casual or informal language as it shows your insincerity toward the language. Try to be as formal as you can, even during the preparation, so that you could make yourselves habitual for this type and can speak professionally in the test. For this, one needs to listen to the formal excerpts, to speak formally. These excerpts include some news audios, Youtube Channels, or professional conversations on the radio.

Further, as you know that you are being recorded, maintain a normal, audible, and steady pace throughout the test. It supports the examiner to evaluate your response efficiently and can fetch you more marks for having a fine volubility. However, most of the students take the wrong meaning of fluency and think that being fluent and persuasive is to speak fast and steady. On the other hand, if you speak very swiftly and at an expeditious pace, your words can become incomprehensible and unclear, leaving the examiner to deduct your marks. Always try to maintain a regular velocity of your voice that expresses your personality and character. Furthermore, you should not include any complex or tricky words in your speech if you are not able to pronounce it accurately. If a candidate fumbles while addressing any word, it will not only deduct your marks, but it may also waste your time and drop down the volume. Along with that, pauses, stresses, and intonation are also very crucial in one's vocals. If talking about the pauses, there are two types of stops: Good pauses, made on full stop or a comma and bad ones like 'Hmm' or 'A..' (also called fillers). Distinctly, good pauses are necessary as it supports the listener to understand what the speaker is trying to say and to determine the message you want to convey. Oppositely, bad pauses must be avoided because a speech with these fillers appears as it is of a beginner. Consequently, the prevention of these fillers and stumbles in the speech is very valuable. In addition to it, Intonation is also very crucial in your speech, which means all those places where you need to drop & raise your tone and stressing the words (raising the pitch) which need more importance like the contrasting or complimentary words that reveal a piece of significant information. One should even train the volume of himself or herself accordingly, like fading out your voice at the end can add glitters to the gold.

Similarly, try to be more observant, logical, and attentive because most of the speaking tasks contribute to two or more modules at a time, also called the Integrated marking. For instance, in Repeat Sentence, you have to listen to an excerpt and then have to deliver the same sentence. This module serves the scores for both listening and speaking sections. Notably, one must try to present his or her concepts with the agility that also reflects your pronunciation and fluency. Apart from that, to provide a convincing response, one must conjecture the question and the overall message behind it very attentively. This understanding will further help a student to arrange and organize the ideas efficiently to prepare a compelling and dignified answer. Also, while giving your answer, don't start speaking again from the beginning, even if you made any mistake as it will create redundancy and wordiness in your speech.

Further, one should hear various news lectures and excerpts to understand the various intonation patterns and articulation of different words. You must also practice by recording your voice and answers so that you can acquire the knowledge of the volume and pitch your sound needs on the test day. Moreover, listening to your own recordings will also assist you to identify the mispronounced words and the fluency you have. One should also check for the stressing patterns or intonation, and pauses made during talking to the recorder. In addition to it, also pick a conversation partner, either a native English speaker or a good orator, that can help you in finding any errors while communicating. Also, build a wide library of vocabulary and synonyms for yourself which supports you be more accurate and precise in this language. Consequently, it also enhances and polishes your oral fluency and pronunciation. Additionally, one may also practice various tongue twisters to clear out the pronunciation of the words. Furthermore, proper practice is also very necessary to improve or learn any skill. And this should be done by using a better and efficient resource.
