Ganesha Chaturthi is incomplete without delicious Modak filling up your plates, not only for Prasad but for your taste buds too. Ganesha Chaturthi, apart from the blessings and grace of Ganpati, is famous for the occasion of trying different varieties of Modaks, flooding every sweet shop. At least I like my Ganesha Chaturthi to be celebrated with a combination of both Pooja and Modak.

Here are some of the modaks that are my favorite. They will surely leave you wanting more after you have them.

1. Chocolate Modak

Indian sweets getting a chocolaty touch! What else does a chocolate lover want? They are especially popular among children, being offered in various flavors like premium, choco-cocoa, nutty-choco, etc. They certainly make a delicious Prasad and a good gift.

2. Jumbo Bhog Modak

If you are thinking of ways to impress Ganpati Bappa, apart from just Pooja, these gigantic Modaks weighing up to 1 kg are your thing. They are not just big and delicious, but funky-looking as well.

3. Motichoor Modak

It’s your favorite motichoor ladoos in the shape of Modaks. So with Motichoor Modaks, you get the best of both worlds, as if it’s a blessing from Ganpati itself.

4. Malai Modak

Here are some more blessings for you from Vinayaka, I the form of his favorite sweet. These are prepared with paneer, condensed milk, and kesar, and are very easy to make at home. They are very tasty to eat and an option for serving to your guests at the festival.

You just need to put crushed paneer in a pan and add condensed milk. Then stir it until the paneer is mashed properly and the mixture takes the form of a dough. Cool down the dough and grease it with ghee. Now you can mold the dough in the shape of Modak and enjoy it.

5. Chana Dal Modak

Chana Dal Modak

It is made with rice flour and wheat flour loaded with cooked chana dal and some jaggery blended with it. These are the best getaways from the ordinary Modaks.
