What could be the reason behind recent UPSC website hack and the appearance of Doraemon’s picture on it?

One reason could be the creativity outburst of the hackers. Or maybe it’s as simple as the hackers’ favorite cartoon character being Doraemon. I mean, they did not just hacked the official UPSC website, but also set the cartoon’s title track in the background.

And just for your information, it’s not the first time that UPSC is made fun of like this. Did you remember when a minister accused Modi Government for appointing the officials at the higher ranks without UPSC exam qualification?

When the Prime Minister itself makes fun of the one of the toughest exams in the country like this, what could be the expectations from the rest of the country?

Senior RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, called the government, ‘manuvaadi’, and commented:

“Today, Modi government was hiring babus with UPSC, tomorrow it will get a Prime Minister and a Cabinet without elections.” He also added that this government had made mockery of the system.

So it’s not the first time that UPSC has been mocked and the mockery has been acknowledged “publicly”. UPSC however, is still mute on the subject.

The contemplation on the activity are that it’s a message for the system to stop producing “cartoons” and “corrupt bureaucrats” for India.

It also suggested that UPSC’s tough exams and hard-to-crack interviews are not enough to judge someone’s competency and more than that, his honesty.

You can see that the cartoon of Doraemon (who is a futuristic robot and far more intelligent as compared to the cartoon’s protagonist Nobita), is captioned “I am stewpeed”.
