Why do we wear Emerald? Is there any gemstone which can replace Emerald?

Emerald is a green-color gemstone and it is worn for Mercury planet. So the people who have their Mercury planet weak, wear Emerald.
Emerald is worn on the smallest finger of right hand. The weight and shape of the gemstone depend on the weight of a person. Generally, 1 whit of Emerald is taken for 1 kilogram. So if a person weighs 50 kilograms, he/she will have to wear an Emerald weighing 5 whits.
Emerald, as you must be knowing, is quite precious, and hence not everyone can buy it. Those who can’t afford it can wear Aquamarine, Turquoise, or Peridot gemstone, in its place. They are not as expensive as Emerald, and to some extent, have the same effects as Emerald.
Please take special note of not wearing pearl along with Emerald. If possible, wear it with gold or silver. It works best for Gemini and Virgo.
