Soon after the Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya, UP chief Minister, Yogi Adithyanath announced that his government will build a massive Ram Statue in Ayodhya. He was addressing the media after the meeting with seers of Mutts on the occasion of Diwali in Ayodhya. He also stated that 2 cities were short listed for the making of Ram Murti. And he also said that the discussions about the Huge Ram Statue is in its last stage.
But this will not be a solution to Ram janm bhoomi and Babri Masjid issue. The solution can be obtained to this decades old issue will be either through the court or through peaceful dialogue between the 2 communities. The Ram Statue may give some consolation to religious Hindus. But everybody may not get satisfaction with this Ram Murti.
The seers are upset with both UP government and central government for the supreme court's of the verdict of Ram Janma bhoomi -Babri Masjid case. The verdict of this case will be out in January 2019. On 25thNovember 2018, lakhs of devotees of VHP and Shiv sena party gathered in Ayodhya to push the building of Ram Temple. In order to calm down the agitators, Yogi Adithyanath revealed the details of the statue.
The proposed statue of Ram will be inducted in the banks of Sarayu river in Ayodhya. It will be 221 metres tall. It will be of bronze and actual height of the statue will be 151 metres, overhead umbrella will be 20 metres tall and the pedestal would be 50 metres tall.
Anyway, building of statue will not be a solution to Ayodhya issue.
