Last winter, I was having allergic sneezing, and honestly, it made me frustrated on a level that I couldn't tolerate. I would keep sneezing throughout the day, and sometimes it felt like it would never stop. At that time, my grandmother suggested a home remedy that I would definitely like to share because it may help other people as well.
My grandmother said that one of the best remedies for allergic sneezing is a saline nasal rinse, also known as a neti pot. Out of everything I tried, this was the one that helped me the most. It helped flush out dust, pollen, and other irritants from my nose, and after using it regularly, I noticed a difference.
Let me also share some other things that people commonly use. Steam inhalation is one of them. Some people add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to hot water and inhale the steam. It can feel quite soothing, but make sure you don't put your face too close to the hot water because it can burn your skin.
Some people also love drinking herbal teas such as ginger tea or chamomile tea. While these teas may not cure allergies, many people find them comforting when they are dealing with constant sneezing and irritation.
Nowadays, people have also started placing air purifiers in their homes, and I think it is a good decision. They are becoming more affordable, and for people who are extremely sensitive to dust or pollen, an air purifier can make the indoor environment much cleaner.
Also, do not ignore basic hygiene habits. Washing your clothes, changing your bedding regularly, cleaning your room, and washing your hands can all make a difference. These may seem like small things, but they can help reduce exposure to allergens.
From my experience, allergic sneezing becomes easier to manage when you focus on reducing the triggers around you. However, if the symptoms continue for a long time or become severe, it is always best to consult a doctor and get proper treatment.
