A lot of experts nowadays recommend trying detox diets. These are basically short term plans that help in removing the toxins from the body. However, I think they are not helpful for the long term. If you are thinking detox diet plans work best for weight loss, you are wrong. They are effective only in shedding few kilograms, however when you stop the diet, you might again gain back your weight.

However, detoxification diets are effective for special purposes. For instance, you have been dependant on drugs and alcohol for many days, and now you need to give a stop. This is where detox diet plan can be helpful in eliminating toxins and neutralizing your body. Some of the basic points you need to remember while following such diets are:

• Focus on foods that are rich in water and fibre. This will improve your urination and ***** movements.
• Consume foods that have high amount of nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins, which help in detoxification.
• Stay away from inorganic food and junk food that are high in fat.
• Add more liquids in your diet.

However, I suggest you to ask your doctor and take some suggestions whether to go about with any detox diet or not.

Detox diet plans are usually not necessary and not scientifically proven to improve health or fitness in the way they are often advertised. However, some parts of these diets (like eating more fruits and drinking more water) can still be healthy.

Detox diet plans are usually not necessary because the body already has natural detox systems like the liver, kidneys, and digestive tract. Some short-term detox plans may help people feel lighter by reducing processed foods and sugar, but most rapid detox claims are exaggerated. For real health and fitness, a balanced diet, hydration, exercise, good sleep, and consistent healthy habits are far more effective than temporary detox programs.
