Do celebrities actually face racism or they just exaggerate the small matters?

I just know the context of the question! It’s Shilpa Shetty again! Deemed as one of the most beautiful actress of Bollywood, she has to face “racial discrimination” whenever she is out of her homeland! Or is it all just in her mind? We really have to go beyond the superficial ruckus that such celebrities cause.
What happened with Shilpa Shetty at an airport while travelling from Sydney to Melbourne is described thus by her:
Mel, the lady whom Shilpa Shetty calls “grumpy”, never uttered a word out of her league which could suggest that she behaved is a racist way. It would have been just the employee’s misconception about the size of her bag. Neither did any other staff member behaved differently, “callously”, or “rudely” with her that she warned the airport for taking “cognizance”.
Let’s not forget that the whole drama of racism in 2007 made Shilpa Shetty win the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother”.
I myself hate and condemn racism but this just seem only an exaggeration on the part of Shilpa Shetty.
