Do you think Dwayne Johnson will beat Mark Wahlberg to become world’s highest paid actor in 2018?

By every length, Dwayne Johnson is a bigger and more popular star than Mark Wahlberg. And this has to do a lot with his WWE connection and ace social media game.

In 2017, Forbes named him as the second highest paid actor ($65 million) with movies like Furious 8, Baywatch and show Ballers under his belt. On the other hand, Mark Wahlberg topped that list ($68 million) thanks to Daddy’s Home 2 and Transformer movie.

This year in 2018, both of them have few big releases in line. While Mark’s Mile 22 is highly anticipated, everyone’s waiting for Dwayne’s Skyscraper, Rampage and Fighting With My Family. Clearly on papers Dwayne outdoes not just Mark but pretty much anybody else with upcoming movies. He is doing more work than anybody else in Hollywood. So it’s fair to say his hard work will deliver him more rewards and he will eventually becoming the highest paid actors in the world.

Don’t get this wrong. Mark Wahlberg is a great actor. He’s a legend in a way. But when it comes to delivering big hits, Dwayne’s just better.

Here’s a fun fact: Transformer was first offered to Dwayne Johnson. However, he rejected the project because at the time he was working on Hercules.
