It simply depends on the field in which you want to become a leader ,like if you want to become a government leader you need confidence ,intelligence and surely some money . a leader should be both learner and teacher . He should know how to convince people and make them trust in him . for becoming a leader you can start from your college elections . NSUI and DUCU support such talented students. After that you can be a part of local elections and so on the journey will lead you to bigger opportunities and platforms .

There is no fixed formula to become a leader in India. You specifically mention India which means you are talking about becoming a political leader and not about leadership quality in general. As I said no specific formula but still few tried and tested formulas are available. Let me tell you Four of such formulas with examples.

1. Let's start with the long route, If you are a student you can start your political career by taking an active part in student politics like Arun Jaitely He was an Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) student leader in the Delhi University campus in the 70. In 1974, he became president of the University Students' Union in 1974. Be a part of ABVP or NSUI or any political wing you support and try your luck.

2.If you are not fortunate enough to go to college no need to feel sorry for your self. you can still be a political leader in India. All you need to do is join RSS and show your loyalty toward the organization and you will sooner or later hold a position in BJP. Nitin Gadkari used this formula and now he is a minister in the central government.

3. Family background of politics, this formula guarantee you the ticket the power and position, but the sad part is it’s not in your hand to apply this formula. Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav are the product of this formula.

4. Last but not the least gain public support, be a part of an NGO or any organization. show you are working for the people without any expectation and wait for the right opportunity and join politics. Arvind Kejriwal did the same and became the CM of Delhi.

I Hope any of these formulas will help you and you will be a Political leader in India, just remember one thing India needs a leader to serve not to be served.
