How do I join the merchant navy in India after completing class 12th in PCM?

Merchant Navy is one of the most rewarding as well as lucrative career options after 12th. This includes traveling the whole world with an entire team of the Indian Navy.
Traveling on the shipboards, staying away from homes for a rough period of 7-8 months & earning a good amount of money. The main reason why many people join the merchant navy force is they get to travel the whole world.
Eligibility criteria:
• A candidate must have passed 12th with a PCM score of at least 60%.
• Candidates must be unmarried citizens of India (male or female)
• Vision must be normal & if someone has glasses they must be up to 2.5 minus the number
• One can get admission through a screening test as well as a written examination
• After the results of exams, one will be giving an interview & clearing a medical test
Many private institutes in our country provide excellent training in the field of merchant navy. These training institutes prepare students for several job opportunities such as marine engineering jobs, deck cadets & many others. After meeting all the above-mentioned criteria & passing certain examinations & tests, a candidate will be allotted private institutes according to his scores as well as merit results to join the merchant Navy team after completing merchant navy courses.
