Everyone has different styles of taking honey. But as per our research, you can directly consume honey for cough and cold. You don't need to add any ingredients. If you are still looking for some options so you can add clove and ginger to it. But the honey is enough for curing a cold and cough.

However, if you don't want to consume the homey directly, you can add honey to a hot drink and such as herbal tea, whatever suits you. Some researchers also compared dextromethorphan and honey for a common cough suppressant. And they found that dextromethorphan and honey both worked to suppress coughs and colds.
