Setup:
Board Preparation: Start by setting up the Ludo board. The board has a cross-shaped track with four different colored areas, a center square, and four corner areas. Each player chooses one of the four colors and places their four tokens in their respective starting area.
Rolling the Dice: Decide who goes first. You can use an actual six-sided die or a digital Ludo app, which typically provides a virtual die.
Gameplay:
Roll the Die: The first player rolls the die. They have to roll a 6 to move one of their tokens out of the starting area and onto the track. If they roll a 6, they can choose to either move a token out or move an already active token 6 spaces forward.
Move Tokens: Once a token is on the track, you can move it forward the number of spaces indicated by the die roll. Tokens can be moved in any direction along the track and can overlap with tokens of other players, but you cannot land on your own tokens. The goal is to move your tokens around the entire board and into your home column.
