If you own a heavy bike, you are quite aware of the fact, they are stable on the straights, but can easily fall off at lower speeds. A heavy bike easily gets unbalanced within fraction of seconds if you don’t pay enough attention and it can overpower you and fall.

Humans have the potential to lift heavy objects but it requires a proper technique to lift them otherwise you may injure your back while lifting. In some worst cases, your back can suffer a muscle pull or ***** dislocation.  Even today’s modern lightweight bikes weigh around 120 Kg which is also quite heavy to lift. And a heavy machine like Suzuki Intruder that weighs more than 400 Kg requires a proper technique to lift.

If you’re riding solo then it becomes more tough for you to lift a bike. Below is an excellent video that teaches you how to lift a heavy bike that requires less risk and energy. The video shows that how to find two points around the lower point of the bike and rest the chest against the seat and then push the bike to make it stand. It also shows two different techniques involving a helping hand to lift up the bike properly. If you own a heavy bike, this is something that you should learn and practice.

Heavy bikes should be handled carefully. Make sure you don't tilt them more that 15-20 degrees otherwise your ankles will feel the impact. Also do exercises to strengthen your lower body part. Wearing a good driving shoe will also help(strong full boots).
