1. Stick to Warm Water
The most important rule is that less is more. For women, the vagina is entirely self-cleaning through natural fluids and good bacteria, so you should never wash inside it (douching). For external cleaning (the vulva), plain warm water is usually all you need.
2. Skip the Heavily Scented Products
While a lot of advertisements push specialized vaginal washes or scented soaps, most doctors actually advise against them. Fragrances and harsh chemicals easily disrupt your natural pH balance, which can lead to irritation, dryness, or infections like yeast infections and Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). If you really want to use soap externally, stick to something incredibly mild, unscented, and neutral.
3. Keep Things Dry and Breathable
