It is said that eating cashews is healthy. But a majority of people certainly do not know that if you are on a strict diet then should avoid eating them. Moreover, cashews are not made for everyone because of the given following reasons:

1. Increase weight:-

Those who are on a diet should not eat cashews because it helps in increasing weight very quickly. There are approximately 163 calories and unsaturated fat in 3 to 4 cashew nuts.

2. High Sodium Content:-

Adults need 1500 mg of sodium per day, more than this, the amount of sodium is caused in high blood pressure, heart strokes and kidney related diseases and cashews contain high sodium content.

3. Allergic:-

Many people who regularly had cashews complained of difficulty in breathing, getting rashes, itching and vomiting. That's why if you have any such symptoms, stop eating cashews and visit a doctor.

4. Headache:-

A lot of people noticed a headache or migraine while having cashews for a long period of time because cashew contain the amino acids tyramin and phenylthylamine that can cause a severe headache.

No, you do not necessarily need to avoid cashews completely while dieting. Cashews contain healthy fats, protein, and minerals that can actually help keep you full for longer and reduce unhealthy snacking. The main thing is portion control because cashews are calorie-dense. Eating a small handful in moderation is usually considered fine in many balanced diets.

Problems usually happen when people eat large quantities mindlessly, especially salted or heavily roasted versions. Honestly, sustainable weight loss is more about overall calorie balance and healthy eating habits rather than completely cutting out every food that contains fats or calories.
