Is Avril Lavigne really dead?

There’s a conspiracy theory going rounds on internet for long that Avril Lavigne is dead. The story goes that the singer, after the release of her debut album ‘Let Go’, at the age of 19 in 2003, passed away; she committed suicide after her beloved grandfather died, in fact.

After her death, those who were to make the most money out of her sky-rocketed fame decided to use her look-a-like to keep Avril Lavigne in the spotlight—Melissa Vandella. And since then Ms Melissa has been impostering Avril.

This theory brought about by a Twitter handle @givenchyass points out several of songs’ lyrics of Avril Lavigne and few other instances as evidences to connect the dots and to conclude that the real Avril is dead.

However, these are just the theories. And no evidences are hard facts to prove this. Avril Lavigne is well alive and she’s making some pretty dope music.
