Yes, the cash situation is quite comfortable and the demand is being full met in the country. It has been more than a year when the demonetization was first introduced in the country. When currencies in 500 and 2000 denominations were not easily available, but now 500, 200, and 2000 notes are circulating everywhere and the cash situation has been improved.

Across the country there is enough cash which is being supplied and the extra demand which is being fully met. I think, there is no such cash related crisis or problem at this point of time. According to a report by RBI, there are about Rs 7 lakh crore of Rs 2,000 notes in circulation, which is more than adequate.

The printing ofRs 500notes around Rs 3,000 crore gets done daily to take care of extra demand. RBI keeps one thing in mind that people don't find Rs 2,000 rupee note as a very comfortable medium for making transaction and "500 and 200 and 100 rupee" notes are people's medium of transaction. So, they have increased the production of printing to the level that it is about Rs 2,500-3000 crore a day.
