If you can handle abuse, you can certainly handle many more things which are far more easier, that is to lead a dignified life and not dealing with emotionally unstable person.
Its not mandatory to have someone in your life or to be really wealthy that you have to have him per say. Love yourself and I am sure you will be able to earn enough to live gracefully and most importantly peacefully.
