I wish you would have provided more context to the question.

Do you sell under your own brand name or offer private label customization? It is direct-to-retailer or do you approach distributors and wholesalers first? What kind of clothes do you manufacture?

Nonetheless.

I'll put it generally.

There are MANY, MANY things you can do to take your cloth manufacturing company to the next level and spread it across India.

If you don’t already have a website, create one. If you already have one, improve it. Optimize it for a good experience. Do some basic SEO work on it for the starters.

(TIP: Find some of the world's best cloth manufacturing companies, visit their websites and design your own website like theirs. They are the "top names". Their design must certainly be working that's why they have it. So, you can draw inspiration from them for your own website design.)

Get on social media. Create profiles. And start posting regular updates. "What to post?" Again, you can draw inspiration from top industry names; look at what they are posting and how they are engaging with their audience.

These two are basic digital measures that YOU MUST do. They are not optional. They are essential.

Now comes the interesting part…

Invest BIG on Facebook and Instagram Stories ads. They are quite cheap at present. And you can reach a very highly targeted audience that is more likely to convert.

On Facebook, use the targeting option to reach clothing business owners. With the powerful options you get, you can do this rather easily. Create a few campaigns to attract, engage and convert these people.

On Instagram, use their available tools to target those who are looking to start their own business. Like college students, recent graduates and young professionals. Create a few campaigns to attract, engage and convert these people. (For this, of course, you should have a distribution program. Create a landing page for this program. Offer enticing offers and discounts. Make it easier for people to launch a distribution program. Provide them enough perks so that they sign up for the program!)

Now, running successful ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram is not easy. You can either hire professionals for this or learn through online guides and DIY. Simply hire a freelance writer and ask him/her to write good ad copies.

LinkedIn is a great platform for B2B to grow. However, with whatever I know personally, there isn’t much for the clothing industry. Making connections and trying to convert them is not easy. To that, LinkedIn ads are comparatively expensive. However, given the organic reach on the platform is off the roof at present, you can definitely give LinkedIn a shot.

(In addition, be also careful about the location of the people/businesses you’re targeting. If you're in Haryana, can you fulfill wholesale orders in Tamil Nadu?! As a general rule of thumb, start by focusing on your state first, then expand to the neighboring states and then across the country. This would keep your fulfillment cost low.)

The key to expanding your cloth manufacturing company is building a network of distributors. And you can only do this when you’re offering existing distributors and new entrepreneurs enough perks to sell your products. So, for the starters, even if you're not cutting a BIG profit, it's okay as long you're winning long-term clients!

Aside from this, all through the course, build your brand. Story-tell online. Put your brand name on your website prominently. Deliver your customers a good experience. For example, after they have purchased the wholesale, follow them up via. calls and emails. Remember, the best branding strategy is good UX.

Once you have a good brand reputation, you will find distributors, as well as wholesalers and retailers, coming from the front to partner with you. Because they now trust your brand name. If you get to that stage, you can then even launch your own retail outlets across the state and country to cut-down the middleman and maximize the profit.

These are some broad ways of how you can grow your cloth manufacturing company across the country.

Hope it helps!

P.S. On your website, do SEO work regularly. Publish keyword-optimized blog posts regularly. It can generate you quality traffic and hence qualified leads.

P.S.S. This is a long-term game. It won’t happen overnight. You must have patience. You must think of it in 5-year term and not 5-month term. Patience and persistence are the two ingredients of any successful business.
