The"F1"is considered to be the most expensive car number plate in the world. In the United Kingdom, it has been officially auctioned at the whopping price of Rs. 132 crore. This F1 number plate has been seen on a variety of luxury cars that includes Mercedes-McLaren SLR, custom Range Rovers and most notably, aBugatti Veyron.

The F1 number plates used to be under the ownership of the Essex City Council since 1904 and in 2008, they came under the ownership of Afzal Kahn, owner of Kahn Design, a British firm that specialises in customised vehicles around the price of Rs. 4 crore.

The F1 plate is one of the most expensive plates in the world due to it is associated with the Premier Motorsportand it is also a very rare number plate that has only two digits. If the F1 gets sold at the price of Rs. 132 crore then it will be the most expensive plate ever sold in the world that will surpass the D5 plate sold in Dubai to Indian Balwinder Sahani for Rs 67 Crore.
