Mountain and hot springs

If you really want to take in the views of the mountains and hot springs, you can go on a drive. Be careful to drive sober to keep yourself safe. Read here to learn what happens if you get a DUI in Colorado. You can visit the Rocky Mountains for a wide range of activities, including camping, skiing, and hiking.

The city also boasts one of the largest hot springs in the world, the Glenwood Springs. There’s a lot you can do in this natural wonder spot.

Paint mines interpretive park

This geological wonder spans 750 acres of beautiful land for hiking. You’ll be amazed by the spires, hoodoos, and clay formations, which look like a splash of colors from red to pink and gold. Nothing prepares you for the mind-blowing sights. Also, prepare to see wildlife such as mule deer and birds. Coyotes also hang out near the park, so bear that in mind.

Red rocks amphitheater

If you’re lucky enough to visit Colorado during some music festivals, you may just get to watch your favorite musicians on the stage. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a little far from Denver. It has two massive monoliths that make it perfect for concerts and festivals. In the past, musicians such as the Beatles, U2, and Jimi Hendrix have hosted events in this location. If you visit in April this year, you may get to watch Amy Schumer and Tash Sultana later in June.

Denver dog fair

Now animal lovers are not left out on all the fun things to do in Colorado. If you’re traveling with your dog, you can attend a dog fair in Foxfield. These events take place later in the year and feature performances, stage events, and sports. It is also quite cheap to get into the fair. So even if you do not want to participate, you can still get to meet new people and maybe your dog will make a few friends.

Salida tour

If you want to visit an artistic location, consider going on a tour to Salida. This city is located in the Rocky Mountains surrounding the Arkansas River. It’s a tiny city of less than 10,000 people and offers a wide range of recreational activities for visitors. During the winter, you can go skiing. During the summer, you can participate in mountain biking, rafting, and hiking. If you’re a fan of all water activities, such as paddleboarding and kayaking, you can also have fun here in Salida. But this is not all Salida offers; the city boasts several national historic buildings. You can take a tour and see these houses. If you visit during the winter, then you may just experience the annual Christmas mountain display.

Colorado is an excellent holiday location for an adventure, so pack your hiking boots and head to the Rocky Mountains.
