The government launched Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) to provide liquefied petroleum gas to Indian households at a subsidized rate. Jan Dhan Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana is a world record holder scheme. One can avail of this scheme and open a bank account with a mere Aadhaar Card as the identity proof. Although, one can acquire this benefit by submitting other crucial documents as well. This scheme provides with a zero balance savings account, a RuPay card, various insurance policies and much more.  


Passport in 10 days

With constant upgrades coming in and around Aadhaar Card; this one is a great relief. Now one can get hold of a Passport in almost 10 days. With Aadhaar Card in hand, the government has kind of omitted the police verification process; which took the maximum time. Although, the police verification is bound to happen; however, one doesn’t have to wait for the passport to be issued for the police verification alone. 

 

 

Digital Locker

The government has now launched DigiLocker, a government-owned cloud system. It allows the citizens to create their unique logins and store personal information in the form of e-Aadhaar Card, and PAN card. The biggest benefit being, one doesn’t have to travel with physical copies of these essential documents. For instance, now railway will accept an e-Aadhaar Card copy as an identity proof if showcased through DigiLocker. 


Voter card linking

To put a full stop to fraudulent cases revolving around voter’s card, the government has now asked the citizens to link their Aadhaar Cards with their Voter ID Cards. With this step, it is difficult for one to create any fake Voter’s Card. As while voting, the person is expected to present both Voter ID Card and the Aadhaar Card. 


Monthly Pension

As mentioned earlier, this 12 digits unique number was created with the motive to create a unique identification system. Also, to bring down any fraudulent instances in each domain, one such area is the government pension scheme. The government has now made it compulsory to link your Aadhaar Card with the respective pension plan as there have been cases of fake pensioners. 


Digital Life Certificate

In addition to this, your Aadhaar Card now also doubles up as your digital life certificate. The Department of Electronics and IT has taken the initiative wherein individuals can link their e-Aadhaar Card copy to Jeevan Praman for Pensioners. With the help of this, the pensioners no more have to be present in the pension disbursing agencies physically.
