Human beings are curious about their future. There are many ways in which most people believe that they would know about the future. They include astrology, numerology predictions, tarot reading and many others. But what will their future hold? This question is still unanswered for a lot of people.

In this article, let us look at the science behind these popular beliefs in astrology and numerology.

The science behind Numerology: Beyond Numbers

Numerology and Sciences

Numerology predictions is a way of predicting the future with the help of numbers. It has been in existence since ancient times. However, not many knew the science behind it, and people came to know about it only after Pythagoras attempted to explain the mathematical concepts and principles.

Pythagoras was an ancient Ionian Greek philosopher and the founder of the concept of Pythagoreanism. He had exceptional calibre for mathematical concepts and believed that numbers could express the whole universe thoroughly. He also thought that the entire universe and its existence depended entirely on those properties of numbers, which he claimed to be mystical.

Therefore, numerology predictions have a basis on the theory that each of these numbers has a unique vibration. It has the potential to give these numbers its property. For instance, a person born on a particular date will have a personality and behaviour based on those numbers. It is also easy to predict their future, destiny and propose based on these properties.

For instance, the year 2021 adds to 5 (2+0+2+1). According to popular belief, Mercury rules the number five, known as the planet for knowledge, communication and travel. Therefore, the predictions say that the year 2021 would go very well for those born on 5, 14, 15 and 23 dates of any month.

Numerological reading has its basis on the belief that no event and its occurrences are an accident, and it's all due to the numerical divination. Everything in the law of nature has its basis on numbers and its sequences. According to many scientists, one of the more incredible things that prove this is present everywhere in nature, like the number of petals in flower, which is a fascinating sequence.

Numerology has its basis on a person's birth date and name, based on which many predictions happen. The popular belief is that the vibrations from a number relate to the name's letters, marking their destiny. People use the same to find out about jobs, relationship status and know other things about their future.

Astrology and Science

Astrology claims to provide divine information about human beings and their personalities by studying celestial bodies' movement. It is dated back to the 2nd millennium BC and has its origin in the calendrical systems. Like numerology, astrology is also given it due to considerations by various cultures, including the Hindus and the Chinese.

Astrology is a belief in astronomical phenomena, where they study the stars' position at the time of birth, or Mercury and its influence on life's daily events. It is entirely different from the study of astronomy, the scientific study of space, universe and celestial bodies. It is prevalent among a large population varying from the rich to the poor from year to year. The cut, a popular magazine, states that people who believed in astrology have increased by 150 per cent between 2016 and 2017.

Even though several belief systems have a relationship with the astronomical phenomena, most scientific communities disagree. They say that they do not have any evidence in describing the universe through its scientific testing. There are many tests that a lot of scientific communities conduct to check the authenticity of astrology.

However, there has been evidence for certain factors like the "Mars Effect" associated with birth dates. However, the results are not satisfying enough for a long term evaluation. Therefore, unlike numerology, astrology is regarded as a pseudoscience. There is no evidence for the actions claimed by stars and planets' positions, which supposedly affects a person's personality.

Conclusion

To conclude, even though astrology and numerology appear to come from the same origins, they are not the same. Though they make predictions, there is a lot of difference between the two, from their roots to how they make predictions on big and small things in the universe, from massive events like natural disasters, wars to the smallest details in a human being's life. Consulting a professional numerologist will help one understand the actual science behind the numbers associated with their life and the effect of those numbers on their future.
