The number of documents would also depend on the type of visa you are applying for. Sometimes the UAE Consulate may ask you to submit few additional documents apart from the regular ones. Here are the documents that you need to submit while applying for tourist visa for Dubai from India.

  • Passport:

Your passport is surely the most important document you need to submit for visa application. You must note that a handwritten passport would not be accepted. As it is an online submission, you have to submit the coloured, scanned copy of your passport. The pages (mostly first and last) containing details like full name, nationality, date of birth, passport number, place of birth, date of issue, date of expiry, father's name, mother's name, etc. should be clearly visible on the scanned copy. You must also make sure that your passport has at least 6 months validity from the date of application. This is extremely important as otherwise, your visa application would get rejected.

  • Photograph:

Along with the copy of your passport, you have to submit a recent passport size photograph. The size of the photo should 4.3 * 5.5 cm. The photo should be in colour and the background should be white. Make sure that the photo has good clarity and 80% of your face is clearly visible. Pictures with headgear are not allowed, unless it is for some religious reasons. You should also not wear hat, sunglasses, scarf, etc. while taking the picture.

  • Return Ticket:

You have to submit the copy of your roundtrip ticket along with your UAE visa application form. One way ticket would not be accepted for any type of tourist visa, be it for 14 days, 30 days or 90 days. Along with the return ticket, you would also have to submit proof of hotel accommodation, unless you have a UAE resident as your sponsor.

  • Additional Documents:

You may have to submit some more documents if the UAE Consulate specifies it. A few examples include:

  1. If a relative in UAE is sponsoring your visa, you would have to submit that individual's passport copy and proof of residency. You may also have to submit an invitation letter.
  2. You may be asked to submit the copy of your birth or marriage certificate
  3. If you are a frequent traveller to UAE, you can submit the entry and exit pages of last one year to speed up the visa process
  4. If you have travelled to countries like UAE, European Union, UK, Schengen countries, Russion, Australia, Canada and New Zealand in the last five years, you can also submit the proof of the same.
  5. Visa Fees

Along with the documents, you also need to submit the visa fees. The visa fees for Indians can be anywhere between Rs.5500-6500. However, some travel companies offer some good discounts and deals too like Rayna Tours, Imonholidays. You can pay the visa fees online using your credit or debit card. One thing you need to remember is that visa fees is not refundable even if your visa gets rejected.

  • UAE Visa on Arrival for Indian Passport Holder
