What all has happened in Game of Thrones Season 8 until now?

B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication) | Posted on

As the final season of the Game of Thrones unfolded last week, all the fans, the old and the new, were found both excited and nostalgic at the same time. Episode 1 was all about reunions and resolutions and the audience refreshing their memory about all the characters. The characters of Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark grow up to be even stronger. And Cersei is wicked but as admirable as always.

Director David Nutter made us fall in love with the old characters all over again in episode 1 when we already know they all have to die in the end, don’t we? Above all, we got to know the true identity of Jon Snow, and that he is the true rightful heir of the Iron Throne.
Episode 2, the latest entry in Season 8, makes the matter more intense and prepares us for the impending war between the dead from beyond the Wall and the living. All the important characters reunite at Winterfell and Jamie Lannister makes peace with Sansa and Bran, swearing his loyalty to Daenerys Targaryen. We finally see Arya Stark growing up to be a woman from a girl, losing her virginity to Gendry, after solving her matters with the Hound.
As this fantasy drama unfolds and lets the snow settle on the battleground all the main characters, be it Jamie, Jon, Arya, Sam, or Daenyrys, are preparing to die and they say glory in it. This being the final season, it will be interesting to see how and when all of them die.
It will also be interesting to see what and who is the Night King after?
And deep inside we all are hoping to see Daenerys and Sansa’s relationship taking an interesting turn.
