What all safety measures should one take before going to a science lab?

There are some science equipment and some safety measures one needs to take before entering a science lab that I am discussing below:

1. Always wash your hands before entering and before leaving the science laboratory
2. Try wearing a protective eyeglass, to protect our eyes from all the harmful chemicals.
3. Wear a good quality lab coat, to protect your skin as well as your clothes.
4. Always try to use good quality glass wear when doing experiment
5. Always try to use hand gloves to protect your skin fro all the harmful chemicals and also try to not smell or inhale every chemical as it can be toxic for your health
