Before Holi, protecting the hair is honestly very important because colors and sunlight can make hair dry and rough.

  • Applying coconut oil or hair serum before playing Holi helps create a protective layer so colors wash out more easily later.
  • Tying the hair instead of leaving it completely open also reduces damage and tangling.
  • Many people use harsh shampoos repeatedly after Holi, which actually increases dryness.
  • A gentle cleanse and deep conditioning usually work better.

Honestly, prevention matters much more because once chemical colors damage the hair badly, recovery takes time.

Across all his work, his standard remains consistent — every claim is grounded in medical evidence, every recommendation is one he would make to a patient, and no trend is reported without clinical scrutiny.

Hair gets damaged a lot by harmful chemical colours during Holi and nobody likes dry and frizzy hair. So, it’s necessary to take proper care of your hair in advance when the Holi is around the week.

1. Get rid of splitends: When the Holi colours go into your hair, it will only make your hair dry, rough and tangled. This, in turn, will make your hair split more.

2. Coconut oil: Nothing do more wonders like coconut oil does. Before you step out to play Holi, it’s very handy tip to apply a good coconut based hair oil directly into your scalp and massage them gently.

3. Hair Serum: This tip for them who keep themselves refrain form oil, apply hair serum before playing Holi. Take very little serum and spread on both of your palms and massage light into the hair.

4. Braid them: Don’t go out to play Holi without tying your hair. If you have long hair then you must tie it up so that not all of it is exposed to the harmful colours.
