There are basically 2 types of nutrition: autotrophs and heterotrophs.
- Autotrophic Nutrition: this kind of nutrition is located in autotrophic animals. The process of making food is known as photosynthesis. These are not dependent on any others for their survival. For example, the trees which are present in the surroundings.
- Heterotrophic Nutrition: This type of nutrition is found in heterotrophs. These organisms are dependent on other organisms for the consumption of food. These types of organisms are basically humans and animals.
