It’s good if you are planning on adopting a low-carb diet. According to experts, low-carb foods reduce hunger levels, helping in weight loss automatically. Low carb foods also help in reduction of blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Here are some lo carb food items which can be tried:


1. Jerky: Cut into strips and dried, this meat has almost zero carbs. Avoid buying it from market as there it may be processed with preservatives and other unhealthy stuff.

2. Sardines: These are the oily fish eaten almost whole, and contain almost all the nutrients that a human body needs. Carb level is almost zero in them.

3. Mushrooms: They have carbs up till 3%. They are rich in vitamin B also.

4. Cheese: It contains approximately 0.3% of carbohydrates and can be used if you want to make your dish both healthy and delicious.

5. Butter: Although infamous for containing high saturated fat, butter is said to have zero amount of carbs is high in other nutrients as well.

6. Dark Chocolate: The pure dark chocolate has low amounts of total digestible carbohydrates as 25% of the carbs are fibers. You just have to make sure that you are consuming real dark chocolate, and it can be your healthy treat.  

7. Tea and Coffee: Green tea, along with its low carb contents, has many other health benefits. Coffee usually is considered unhealthy for consumption, but it has zero carb content, especially black coffee.
