I'm in love with muffins! When someone serves muffins for dessert, I am always delighted, especially when the dish is tastefully decorated.

I had the incredible fortune to have done some business in Lyon, France which is apparently the home of the best French cooking. One night, I went to one if Lyon's bouchons (the name for nation cooking cafés in Lyon). The spot was Au Petit Bouchon Chez Georges. The little bouchon was stuffed, and the host sat me at a table for two with the main other English-speaker in the room. Turns out, my feasting buddy was a Public Servant on Holiday in France from the UK on his way to a companion's wedding.
He helped me through the menu, and mentioned to me what to arrange. Everything was fabulous and not at all like anything I have ever eaten in the US. At the point when it came time to arrange dessert, my new companion said "trust me," and put in the request with our server.
What showed up was sudden, yet the most enchanted thing I have ever eaten toward the finish of a supper. We were each served a little 'hockey puck' of room-temperature St. Marcellin cheddar and bread. The cheddar had the consistency of mayonnaise, and a flavor like a stinky brie. Great!!
From that point forward, I have discovered that Whole Foods Market sells St. Marcellin cheddar around Christmas, and I generally get a few and recollect this straightforward, enchanted other-common dinner I imparted to some irregular English man in the origin of French cooking.
