There could be a lot of contributing factors, honestly. Let’s first get the facts correct:
· She sings bad.
· She’s has average looks so most girls can relate to her.
· She’s courageous.
· She really doesn’t care about others’ opinions.
Now why is she popular?
Like I said, there could be plenty of reasons. Some people admire her for her courage, some people love to hate her, some – so insecure in their skins – likes making fun of others. These are all factors that have contributed in the popularity of ‘Dhinchak Puja’.
With all being said though, the major credit must, of course, go to the ‘time-pass’ media. Websites like MissMalini, MenXP, ScoopWoop and so many more thought it would be “cool” to ***** jokes on others because why not. These platforms have made their name with irrelevant stories that are often on the expense of others. Once, Dhinchak Puja caught people’s attention, they lined a pool of articles on how poor and cringeworthily she sings. This further took her stardom to the next level, making her a ***** of every joke.
So that’s how the popularity of Ms Puja grew. Because media platforms, hungry for stories, unnecessarily talked about her all the time. And now she has landed in Big Boss Season 679 (*Yawn*), which, undoubtedly, would fan her popularity to the next level.
