Nose bone studs are small, usually circular pieces of metal that are pierced through the skin of the cartilage of the nose. They are most popular with young girls, who often wear them as a form of body modification.
A stud is typically made from surgical steel, stainless steel, noble metals like silver or gold, or more affordable metals like nickel plated brass. Studs can be plain or decorated with gems or other ornamentation on either side. Most range in diameter between 12mm to 25mm and thickness between 1mm to 3 mm depending on size and material used in manufacture (stud makers tend to produce specific diameters for specific purposes).
