BPL refers to Below Poverty Line. In BPL government has placed a limit on income. According, to that 30 percent of the population of India is BPL. It was found in Palakkad, Kerala, in 1963. Students of Sociology or Economics background must have studied this particular term. In the Indian society, the people are economically weaker, and do not have enough earnings, to fulfill their needs of their children.
