A computer is like an electronic brain that works with information and numbers. It can save, find, and work with lots of data.

There are different types of computers

Analog computer:It represents data by measurable quantities.
Desktop computer: A desktop computer, typically employed for business purposes, designed to occupy a desk space.
Digital computer: It operates with numbers expressed as digits.
Laptop: It is an mobile computer that is smaller in size than a briefcase.It can easily transported from one place to another.
Mainframe: It is a centralized computer used for large scale computing.
Microcomputer: It isgenerally referred to as a PC (personal computer).PC is a digital computer designed to be used by one person at a time
Smartphone: It is a cellular telephone designed with an integrated computer.
Supercomputer: It is a high performing computer that operates at extremely high speeds.
Tablet computer: It is a wireless personal computer with a touch screen.

Here we will delve into the concept of a computer. The term "computer" finds its origins in the Latin word "computare," signifying the act of calculation. It possesses the capability to both store and process data through binary operations. Put simply, it is an electronic apparatus that operates based on a prescribed set of instructions, generating valuable output from given input. A defining trait of a computer lies in its capacity to handle data storage, retrieval, and processing on a grand scale. The advent of computers ushered in a transformative era in our everyday existence. We can readily discern numerous benefits that computers bring to our daily lives. A diverse array of computer types are utilized worldwide in our day-to-day activities.

Hardware vs. Software :

Before talking about different types of computers, we come to know about two things that are common to all computers: hardware and software.

Hardware :Hardware is any part of your computer that includes a physical structure, like monitor, keyboard , mouse etc . It also includes all the internal parts of the computer, which you can see in the image below. Hardware vs. Software

Software :Software is any set of instructions that tell the hardware what to do and how to do it. Examples of software include web browsers, games, and word processors, etc. Everything you do on your computer is done by both hardware and software. Types of Computers

When most people hear the term computer, they think of a personal computer such as a desktop or laptop. However, computers come in many sizes, and they perform many different tasks in our daily lives. When you withdraw cash from an ATM, scan groceries at the store, or use a calculator, it means that you are using a type of computer.

Desktop computers: So Many people use desktop computers at their work place, home ,school etc . Desktop computers are designed to be placed on a desk and they are usually made up of a few individual parts, including a computer case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU and more .

Laptop computers: The second type of computer you are familiar with is a laptop computer, commonly called a laptop. Laptop have battery powered computer that is more portable than desktops,it allowing you to use that almost anywhere.
