What is the best love advice you've ever received?

A good friend once gave me some wise advice: "You can't help anyone else until you've helped yourself." I was in a difficult place at the time, struggling with depression and anxiety. I was also in a relationship that was not working, and I was putting all of my energy into fixing my partner's problems while neglecting my own. This advice was a wake-up call for me, and it's something I've repeated to others ever since. It's important to take care of ourselves first, both physically and mentally, before we can be truly helpful to others.
