It is important to know what type of resources are renewable or nonrenewable when doing something in an eco-friendly way. Renewable resources are natural materials that can be replaced by nature, while nonrenewable resources require human intervention and cannot be replaced by nature.

There are many different examples of renewable and nonrenewable resources in nature, but some common examples include water, air, soil, plants, animals, sunlight and metal ore. Respectively these things can replenish themselves with nature or would require human intervention to remain in existence. There is no limit to the amount of renewable resource that exists on earth so they are not a concern for the environment because there is always more for them to use.
