Our surroundings cannot be more polluted than it is today, and consequently, the percentage of people suffering from one disease or other is increasing exponentially. What’s more worrying is that today’s busy life does not allow us to pay attention to our health, and take it as a priority. In present times, when even the most natural of things like food and air have become artificial, we need to pay even more attention to our health, which we are not doing, and taking it very lightly.

Now coming back to your question, you want to know the leading cause of Cancer. It’s a general opinion that cancer is caused by excessive smoking, but have you ever thought about those who don’t smoke at all and still acquire this fatal disease? If we say that smoking is the sole reason for cancer, and go by stereotypes, then men would be more vulnerable to cancer than women.

According to Yoga and Ayurveda, the anxiety that constantly looms over human nature invites the disease in human body. The more a human is anxious, the more he would attract diseases towards him. Stress and anxiety, therefore, are seen as the major causes of cancer. To improve our lifestyle and make it healthy, we need to keep our mind and soul peaceful, and our surroundings tranquil. Only then will we be able to get rid of anxiety, and hence of fatal diseases like cancer.

With the increasing development of medical science, we think that any disease can be cured through medicine and treatment. But let’s not forget the saying that “prevention is better than cure”. And if you still were unable to prevent yourself, you have to look for the root cause instead of blindly taking medicines and treatments. Knowing the root causes can help in the prevention of the same disease later in life too. Any medicine, any treatment would be unable to cure your body unless you chase away anxiety and stress from your mind.

No matter what the problem is, even a small disease is capable of bringing grief to a happy family. Cancer, just after hearing this word we get so tensed and the person suffering from this automatically gets depressed and generally loses all hope. There are very few people who are strong enough to handle this period of hardships and the ones who can do it with ultimate coverage can win this battle against their strengths. It tests their mental strength at every stage.

The diseases are characterized by the development of a large number of abnormal cells that divide uncontrollably and can infiltrate and destroy normal body tissue.

Cancer is caused by changes to DNA within cells. The DNA is packed inside a cell and contains a large number of individual genes. Errors in construction cause the cell to stop functioning and allow to cell to become cancerous.

CAUSES:

1. Family – If any one of your family members had cancer then mutations may get passed from one generation to another. But it is also not a surety that cancer is always inherited.

2. Health Condition – if you are suffering from some chronic diseases, say for example, ulcerative colitis, it can increase your risk of getting cancer.

3. Habits – If you are getting extreme exposure to sunlight, you are obese, are having unsafe sex, have blistering sunburns, or have a habit of smoking and drinking, then you are most prone to suffering from cancer.

4. Environment – Even if you are not smoking, the place you are putting up in has polluted gases in its air, some people smoke at your place, then their habits can indirectly lead you to get into the trap of cancer.

5. Age – Growing age is an incline towards cancer. If you do not take care of your health with your age, then there are increased chances of getting cancer.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally, and is responsible for an estimated 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Globally, about 1 in 6 deaths is due to cancer.
Approximately 70% of deaths from cancer occur in low- and middle-income countries.
Around one third of deaths from cancer are due to the 5 leading behavioral and dietary risks: high body mass index, low fruit and vegetable intake, lack of physical activity, tobacco use, and alcohol use.

The leading cause of cancer is attributed to several different factors, including genetics, lifestyle choices, and the environment. There is no one single risk factor that can verify with 100% certainty that someone will develop cancer. Cancer is caused by several different factors, which collectively account for about 80% of cases. These major causes include:

Letsdiskuss

  1. Age - Most cancers affect people over the age of 50 or so.
  2. The environment - In particular, asbestos exposure accounts for a significant portion at 15%.
  3. Lifestyle choices/nicotine addiction - Tobacco use is also associated with an increase in certain types as well as other risk factors such as obesity and low physical activity levels.
