I am an Ola cab owner and frankly speaking, those golden days are gone when Ola cab owners used to make profit around Rs 35,000 – 40,000 per month. Now, the time has changed. And moreover, you don’t find good sincere drivers in the market. If you have hired a driver to drive your cab then in one month, he can easily churn out the maximum of Rs 80,000.
During the festival season the earnings can go up to Rs 90,000 – Rs 100,000, but it all depends on a sincere driver and that is like finding a unicorn! Below are my some monthly calculations that show the average earning along with final profit and other expenses of an Ola cab owner.
Total Earnings:Rs 70,000 - Rs 75,000
Fuel Cost:Rs 20,000 - Rs 22,000 (Diesel)
EMI:Rs 13,000 - Rs 16,000 (for 36 months loan of 4 - 5 lacs)
Driver Salary:Rs 18,000 - Rs 20,000 (fixed salary)/Rs 17,500 - Rs 18,750 (25% commission)/Rs 26,400 (Rs 60/trip x 440 trips in 4 weeks)
Maintenance and Paper Renewal:Rs 5,000
Other Expenses (Police fine, mobile recharge, accessories):Rs 1,500
Net Profit:Rs 8,000 - Rs 14,000 p.m
