NASA's newest rover, the Mars Exploration Rover or MERRO for short, has successfully landed on Mars. This rover was launched just this past Tuesday, June 26th and is NASA's "sixth-generation" exploration machine to explore the red planet. NASA’s goal with this mission is to map out a 4 billion year old geological history of Mars. The design of the new #MarsRover has been evolving since 2009 and its components were designed by 20 different companies in America, Europe and Canada! At 2 p.m on sol 199 or Martian day (approximately every 30 minutes) it will send a tweet from the surface of Mars to @MarsRovers which will be posted on @NASA .
