Water pollution is the release of substances into bodies of water that makes water dirty and unsafe for human use and also disrupts the aquatic ecosystems. Water pollution creates problems for aquatic species like fish and animals that need water for their survival. People unknowingly or knowingly polluting the water through throwing dirt and bottles in the water. On the rural side people wash their clothes and give their animals bath in the pond or lake that makes the water polluted.

Water pollution can be caused by toxic waste, petroleum, and disease-causing microorganisms.Water pollution drastically affects aquatic life.Waste water from households, factories, or agricultural land gets discharged into rivers.

Causes of water pollution are as follows:

1.Dumping.
2.Oil pollution.
3.Acid rain.
4.Industrial waste.

  • 6.But the main cause of water pollution is humans.
  • Best way to reduce water pollution are as follows:
  • 1.Using public transports.
  • 2.Turn off the lights when not in use.
  • 3.Recycle and Reuse.
  • 4.No to plastic bags.
  • 5.Reduction of forest fires and smoking.
  • 6.Use of fans instead of Air Conditioner.
  • 7.Avoid usage of crackers.
  • These are the things which can reduce water pollution.
