According to the preferences and tastes, what is good for me can be disgusting for you and vice versa. In addition to this, let’s acknowledge the fact that every person has its own version of the same story, and each person narrates an incident from his/her own perspective. So even the perspective can make a story disgusting.
From my point of view, the story which is most disgusting according to me is the one which I heard from my grandmother.
I was 16 years old and had just started exploring new things about the world when I got acquainted with one of its most ugly truths. It was the story about my own mother.
Although heartbreaking and extremely saddening, my grandma narrated the story of her own daughter so casually that I was shocked how can she take all this and live with all this for so long.
The story was about the marriage of my mother and father and the villain of the story was dowry.
When my grandpa couldn’t fulfill all the demands of my father’s family before the marriage, as he had promised, he was terribly insulted in front of all the guests at the wedding.
My father and his relatives called my mom names and said that they will let the marriage happen, but my mom won’t be allowed to visit her parents ever in her life. This terrified my mom but timid as she was, she couldn’t do anything. The wedding took place and my mom entered hell.

How hard her life has become, and how bravely she has managed with the circumstances. One thing that I could not believe was the monstrosity of my father.
I was curious to know why and how he then allowed my mother (and me) to visit my grandma.
Then I understood. The rivalry was a man-to-man thing. The day my grandpa died, the rivalry ended. There was only one harm done. My mother’s marriage was the last time she saw her father’s face, and I have seen him only in photographs.
