He made his debut in Bollywood movies in 1992. He first appeared in the movie "Deewana". In theis movie, he started alongside Divya Bharti as the second male lead behind Rishi Kapoor. The movie Deewana became a box office hit and launched Khan's Bollywood career. He was also awarded for this movie.
