When will Next-gen Maruti Wagon R come to India?

Maruti has started testing the next-generation WagonR hatchback in India and the car is expected to be launched by the next year. Based on the leaked images of the car is being tested. It is expecting that Maruti will retain most of the design of the current WagnoR and focus will be on the features in the new model.

The 2019 WagonR is expected to get some weight reduction. This will help in better performance and fuel economy and the already loved car will look more attractive and affordable to people. Like the present WagonR, the new model will have petrol, CNG and LPG fuel options. But CNG and LPG models will not be offered nationwide though.

The new WagonR will meet BNVSAP safety norms and have 1 liter K-Series petrol engine with a 3 cylinder. This engine will generate 67 Bhp and 90 Nm and two transmissions are likely to be offered, a 5 speed manual and an AMT.
